Stoke Team News
Stoke City started the season on a good note suffering only one loss in August and September put together. Their home record is formidable having only conceded one goal in four games.
Injuries to key players Fuller, Higginbotham and Pennant haven’t helped and at times have shown especially in defeats against Sunderland, Swansea City, and Arsenal. Given Newcastle’s current form Stoke will likely field their strongest possible line up in what they’ll be expecting to be a tough game. Scoring against Stoke at home is tough thanks to a well marshalled Ryan Shawcross defence and the Toon Army might need a couple if their going to take all 3 points.
Likely Starting Line Up: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Upson, Wilson, Pennant, Delap, Whelan, Etherington, Crouch, Jones
Current Form: DWLWL
Newcastle Team News
Newcastle’s unbeaten run this season is mainly thanks to a great defensive record which is as good t home as it is away from home. Teams have only scored twice against them away from home so far this year.
This defensive sureness has become an effective weapon and led to them becoming one of the top four teams in the league. They are undefeated which has been nothing short of impressive for a squad that two or three years ago weren’t even in the Premiership.
They are only suffering the loss of Williamson for this match due to injury. With a line up that has scored four goals in four games they’ll like go unchanged into this one.
Likely Starting Line Up: Krul, Simpson, Taylor, Coloccini, Taylor, Obertan, Tiote, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Ba, Best
Current Line Up: WWWDW
Stoke v Newcastle Betting Tips
It’s going to be a defensive fixture and one that probably won’t be a great watch for the neutral. It could easily be decided by just one goal from either side and at present Newcastle look the most likely when going forward. That being said Stoke are a tough side to beat at home and we just can’t pick a winner for this one.
